Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby designed Bellhop for Flos in 2018.
Bellhop is a rechargeable table lamp that provides direct light. Based on a project Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby did for the new London Design Museum, the idea is to recreate the ambience and flexibility of a candle, and the execution follows. In each room of the house, Bellhop follows the different uses by illuminating with its soft pool of light.
This bellhop is made of coloured PC (base and cap) and injection moulded opal PC (diffuser). Bellhop has an autonomy of 24 hours, depending on its use. Charging is done by micro USB C. The switch is placed on the base and allows four levels of variation. The battery status indicator is located on the bottom of the base. The USB C charging cable is included in the package and has a useful length of 120 centimetres. The USB battery charger comes with interchangeable plugs. The light source is included (2700 Kelvin, 109 lumens, CRI90).
