Made entirely in France, Jieldé’s Signal lamp is an icon of industrial design. The Signal lamp was designed by Lyon-based inventor Jean-Louis Domecq in 1950. A smaller version of the Standard lamp, the Signal lamp was designed to be sturdy and functional, characteristics that workshop lamps lacked until then. Although it was very quickly adopted by architects and industrialists, it did not enter our homes until the 1990s.
