Gregg’s form is the result of a careful study and natural inspiration, recalling a large bowl smoothed by water or an egg of a mythological animal, a symbol of creation and regeneration.
The result is a pure and familiar volume that facilitates reading, but also surprising, as the asymmetrical shape changes Gregg’s image depending on the viewer’s viewpoint.
On the inside of the device is a warm and uniform light, radiated by the white satin diffuser, which has a strong decorative and functional value.
Also, the shield of the bulb in one of the directions – thanks to the enclosed shape of the diffuser – protects against glare. The case is made from polyethylene, a material that is light but resistant to impact and atmospheric agents.
The Gregg collection by Foscarini consists of pendant, floor, wall, table and ceiling lamps.
