The collection Mercury lamp was created by designer Ross Lovegrove for Artemide famous Italian brand in 2011.
Mercury is formed of an aluminum disk on which animate rollers of various shapes such liquid drops of mercury. The light source is hidden in the pebbles, the light and reflects them and the spherical aluminum plate for an indirect diffuse illumination. Even off Mercury plays with natural light and the movement of people nearby.
The spherical molded plate is aluminum and the rollers are made of thermoplastic material mirror finish. The rollers are suspended on the aluminum plate by nylon son strengthening air spirit of the lamp.
