One of the oldest stones in the world, onyx, is one of the sources of inspiration for Honicé’s beauty and majesty. According to legend, onyx was made when Cupid trimmed Venus’ nails. The gods changed the components of a celestial being—which cannot have mortal parts—into the gemstone onyx. It has a thin skin of stone that is transparent and has a magical quality about it. The firmness of marble is brightened and made more radiant by honicè.
