The Ginger Table Lamp created by Joan Gaspar for Marset in 2014 features a light disk that pays tribute to Ginger Baker, the drummer of Cream, the 1960s rock band. The disk is composed of layers of wood and paper shaped under high pressure to create a 4mm shade with a white interior to reflect light and a high-quality wood finish on the outside.
They enjoyed working with wood – a material that is typically hard to mold, a problem that the Ginger collection neatly resolves. With time, the Ginger Collection has been expanded to offer solutions to different lighting needs, and it is now available as a pendant, table, wall, and floor lamp.
