Counterbalance is a mobile light sculpture designed by Daniel Rybakken for Luceplan in 2013.
Using a large fluid balancing system through gears, Counterbalance provides a counterweight that acts on the movements of his arm. An arm counterbalance measuring 191.6 cm can be rotated in the vertical plane by 75° up and 70° down. The arm is oriented at 90 ° to each side in the horizontal plane.
