Patricia Urquiola and Eliana Gerotto designed Caboche Plus for Foscarini in 2005.
Floating pearls of light: the Caboche Plus table lamp is composed of a structure on which spheres are mounted and a circular base. Zig-zag arches are used in the structure; they are simply invisible and do not block the light or view, while enhancing transparency. A simple twist-lock anchoring system makes mounting the spheres on the structure easy and stable. The spheres become invisible as soon as they are mounted, as if they are floating in a void. Caboche is a jewel of transparency and luminosity with a unique character as precious, sophisticated, and light as a pearl bracelet. A luminaire that is lit diffuses its light through a mosaic of refractions, illuminating the space in all directions. Caboche decorates and illuminates both classic and contemporary interiors, easily integrating into a living room, a bedroom or an entrance.
