Fil de Fer is a lighting fixture that consists of woven, shaped aluminum wire lit from the inside by tiny bulbs. The creation that is closest to the heart of Enzo Catellani was designed and made by him. Developed almost twenty years ago for a special commission, it was never used for the particular project and hung up in his workshop. Whenever it was turned on, it created a magical atmosphere that enchanted everyone. Enzo Catellani decided to continue developing it.
The lamp was later placed on the market and quickly became the most iconic lighting fixture in the Catellani & Smith range.
