The USB cable that is included in this version allows you to recharge your device using any USB AC/DC adapter or computer. Ingo Maurer presents “My New Flame” as an “electronic candle”. Developed in collaboration with Moritz Waldemeyer, My New Flame combines high-tech technology and poetry. Table lamps resemble candles with flames blowing in the wind, yet they are merely optical illusions. Flame is a double-sided LED display, in which each LED moves in synchrony with one another, like a real flame. The sophisticated programming even recreates the warm glow of the flame. The flame is replaced by a thin strip of printed circuit board that gives the lamp a high-tech appearance.
